Stress with-out any doubt is the 21st century monster. Lots of people are trapped by this monster we call “stress”.
Stress can make you lose your job, destroy your marriage, ruin your relationships with other people, if you let stress out of hand, out of control, it can destroy your life.
That’s why it is so important to take control of your stress, to live a better life.
Identify the Sources of Stress in your life.
The first step to control or eliminate something from our lives is to have a clear understanding of what that is and what is the cause.
Stress is not the deadline at work, or today’s dinner, or the mortgage payment, or the kids, or the different situations that we encounter during our day.
Stress is how we react physically, emotionally, and mentally to all these situations.
So if the stress is not all these situations that we have every day, but is our own reactions to these situations that means that we are the cause of our own stress.
In our daily lives we function with our mental and emotional systems. We see the world from this perspective, and we act and react from our emotions and our mind.
Our focus is the exterior, the work, family, the meeting, the dinner, the payments, the traffic, etc….
We are so focused on what we do every day, that sometimes we don’t even know way we do what we do, we just wake up every morning and start doing, and doing, and doing, but many people have lost in that doing the purpose, the meaning of way we are here.
It is true that we live in a society that demands a lot from us, that expects us to be big producers, big achievers.
And that’s perfect, to achieve, to produce, but we have to do this with an internal balance, we have to do these creating good within our self, not by destroying our self.
The way to refocus ourselves is to obtain and create balance in our lives, so we are able to manage daily life situations without feeling selves with stress.

By developing this relationship with your higher self you will develop calmness and insight. You can see deeper into the reality of your own existence and experience yourself, your True self, not your exterior perception. This relation ship will allows you to discard obsolete emotional patterns and develop a new vision. Then you bring all this calmness, all this wisdom, the clarity of thought, concentration, and energy to your exterior life.
Instead of taken all the negative things from the outside and bring it inside, you will take all the good and positive from inside and share it with the outside.
Different techniques to manage stress
Breathing Technique
Life is absolutely dependent upon the act of breathing.
We should not need any instructions for a correct breathing. This comes naturally, but civilization has changed this fact. We have contracted improper methods and attitudes, like walking, standing and sitting and of course breathing.
Correct breathing starts by filling the lower part of the lungs first, slowly dropping the diaphragm and expanding your belly. After your belly reaches an almost full expansion, begin to expand and lift your rib cage and filling of your lungs.
To exhale, breathe out form the top all the way down. Let your ribs drop first and then pull in your belly to finish emptying your lungs.
Visualization Technique
The visualization technique is based on one of the most powerful tools that we have, the imagination.
Before we go to a meting we see the meting happening. Before we go to a party we see our selves having fun. We always visualize every thing is part of the process that our mind follows.
So lets use this tool for our advantage visualizing the outcome that we want to achieve.

Meditation is a technique that allows mental activity to settle down to a silent state of awareness where the mind is calm, yet fully expanded, and fully awake.
Meditation frees our mind from its constant moving and restlessness. It allows you to develop calmness and insight. You can see deeper into the reality of your own existence and experience yourself, your True self, not your exterior perception.
Meditation allows you to discard obsolete emotional patterns and develop a new vision. Then you bring all this calmness, all this wisdom, the clarity of thought, concentration, and energy to your exterior life.
With the practice of meditation, our exterior challenges are not going to change, but some thing more powerful will happen, you will change, your attitude towards life will change.
